Together for a vibrant school community

About the Friends Association

Founded in 2006, the Friends' Association is a group of parents, teachers, and friends of the school. All members work on a voluntary basis.

The goal is to support the children of our school in every possible way. The range of activities is extensive and varied, and every member can actively contribute according to their abilities and interests. This work is richly rewarded by the joy the children display. Every goal achieved by the children motivates them to tackle further challenges.

About the Friends Association

The Friends' Association was founded in 2006. It consists of parents, teachers, and friends of the school. All members work on a voluntary basis, meaning they are unpaid.

The association’s goal is clear: to support the school’s children in every possible way.

The tasks are very diverse. Each member can contribute according to their abilities and interests. Participation is enjoyable because the children express their gratitude. Every success for the children also motivates them to take on new challenges.

Why was the support association founded?

It was founded by parents with the aim of actively supporting and promoting the educational work at the school.

This not only means financial support in the face of ever-dwindling state subsidies, but also active participation in school activities. After all, a school requires close cooperation between parents and teachers to support children on their learning journey.

Why a support association?

Every school receives an annual budget intended to ensure that the conditions for proper teaching are met. However, a school like ours cannot limit itself to imparting knowledge alone. It is also a central living space for students, where they spend a significant portion of their time.

Schools today have to take on tasks they didn't have to in this form before. This, of course, also costs more. However, a school may only accept money from the state; it may not collect donations itself. The Friends' Association can officially collect donations, recruit sponsors, and even raise money at events. This money may, of course, only be used for the school. Our school's Friends' Association is a registered association and recognized by the tax office as a non-profit organization. Cash and in-kind donations to the Friends' Association are therefore tax-deductible.

What does the support association do?

  • Every year he finances the lunch box for the 1st grade, books for the school library, and the final disco for the 4th grade.
  • He helps financially and actively, for example, in the design of the schoolyard, the classrooms, the all-day area and also by supporting:
  • School events such as school enrollment café, Christmas bazaar, flea market & sponsored run
  • In recent years, the association has already financed the following:
  • School libraries, climbing frames, table tennis tables, cable cars, football goals, computer programs, fruit trees, seesaws, musical instruments, football team jerseys, beanbags in the classrooms, and much more

Why does the support association exist?

The Friends' Association was founded by parents. From the outset, its goal was to support and promote the school's educational work.

It's not just about money. Parents and teachers work closely together to support the children in their Learning path This makes school a place where children not only learn, but also live.

Why a support association?

Every school receives a fixed amount of money from the state each year. This is enough for normal instruction, but not for everything schools are supposed to do today.

A school is more than just a place to learn. It is an important living space for children, where they spend a lot of time.

Today, schools have additional responsibilities that weren't common in the past. These require more funding. Since schools aren't allowed to raise money themselves, the Friends' Association takes over this task. It is permitted to accept donations, seek sponsors, and raise money through events. The money collected may be used exclusively for the school.

The Friends Association is a registered non-profit organization. This means that donations to the Friends Association are tax-deductible.
