School social work at the Hude-Süd primary school

What is school social work?

School social work is geared towards individual life situations and offers additional advice and support services in the school environment for children, parents and guardians, as well as for teachers and caregivers.

What exactly are we doing?

  • Individual and group counseling for school-related and personal concerns
  • Dispute resolution
  • Parent-teacher conferences/parent involvement
  • Social/team training to strengthen cooperative interaction
  • Accompaniment in class
  • Lunchtime care during free play time
  • Support with homework supervision and in the extracurricular activities area
  • Contact person for the refugee children, their parents and volunteer family caregivers
Cooperation and networking with child and youth welfare providers
  • Opening up to the social space

Confidentiality and voluntariness are fundamental principles of counselling!
