Taking big steps towards becoming an environmental school

To mark the 50th anniversary of GS Hude-Süd, NABU Hude has donated several nesting boxes to us! This means that native birds will soon be able to nest on our school grounds. As soon as the breeding season begins in spring, tits will be able to find a weatherproof and quiet shelter here. The Environmental Working Group, together with Uwe Tönjes from NABU Hude, has been searching for suitable locations on the school grounds.

On our journey to becoming an environmental school, we would like to focus particularly on the aspect of biodiversity. We thank NABU Hude for this wonderful gift! We look forward to watching the birds nest and thus making a small contribution to increasing biodiversity.
